The Red Sox rallied with four two-out runs in the bottom of the eighth inning
to beat the Indians, 7-4, on a rainy day at Fenway Park.
Cleveland reliever Vinnie Pestano (1-1) gave up three doubles in the decisive
frame, with a pinch-hitting Mike Carp tying the game and scoring the go-ahead
run on Dustin Pedroia's shot off the Green Monster.
After the next two batters were walked, one intentionally, the Red Sox scored
two more runs when the Indians misplayed a Daniel Nava pop up to shallow left
Andrew Bailey closed the door in the ninth for his sixth save of the season.
Boston's comeback made a winner out of Junichi Tazawa (4-2), who was flawless
in the top of the eighth.
