Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Ivory Latta scored 27 points and the Washington Mystics opened their season with a 95-90 win over the Tulsa Shock.

Matee Ajavon scored 19 points off the bench while Crystal Langhorne had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Mystics, who were an WNBA-worst 5-29 last season.

The WNBA's fourth overall draft pick Tayler Hill made her debut and had three points and two steals.

Roneeka Hodges had a team-high 22 points for the Shock, who start the season 0-2. Elizabeth Cambage and Glory Johnson both registered double-doubles. Cambage had 21 points and 10 rebounds while Johnson had 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Skylar Diggins, the third overall pick in the draft, had nine points and 11 assists, but also had four turnovers in her first home game.

With 23 seconds left in regulation, Johnson sank two free throws to tie the game at 88-88.

The Mystics' Monique Currie missed a jumper at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.

Ajavon made the go-ahead layup six seconds into overtime and sank a free throw nearly one minute later, which was all Washington needed.

Tulsa was held scoreless, missing nine shots, until Cambage made a layup with 11 seconds to go to cut the deficit to 93-90. However, it wasn't enough.

Latta made two free throws with 6.9 seconds remaining to seal the victory.
