New York, NY (Sports Network) - Angel McCoughtry of the Atlanta Dream earned her second consecutive WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week award for games played from June 17-23, with Glory Johnson of the Tulsa Shock claiming the honor for the Western Conference.

McCoughtry tied the highest single-game scoring total in the WNBA this season with a 34-point effort that led the Dream to a one-point road win over Connecticut on Sunday. The fifth-year pro hit on 14 field goal attempts while adding five rebounds and three steals in the victory, which improved Atlanta to 7-1 on the campaign.

McCoughtry has now won three of the four Eastern Conference Player of the Week awards handed out this season.

Johnson became the first Shock player in the franchise's four-year history to win the West's award after averaging 17.3 points and 10.0 rebounds while posting a pair of double-doubles in three games. She put up 24 points and eight rebounds in Tulsa's 88-79 loss at Minnesota on Sunday.

Others considered for the awards included Chicago's Epiphanny Prince, Lindsey Harding and Nneka Ogwumike of Los Angeles, Minnesota's Maya Moore, Phoenix's Diana Taurasi, San Antonio's Danielle Robinson and Seattle's Tina Thompson.
