Knoxville, TN - Knoxville Ice Bears Head Coach Mike Craigen announced today that the club has signed the team's 2013-14 top point producer Eric Satim.

Satim, (5'9",170 lbs.), led all Knoxville Ice Bears players in scoring with 56 points (20 G - 36 A) in 51 games played as a second year professional. The Montreal, PQ, Canada native spent four years playing at SUNY Plattsburgh as a member of the Cardinals NCAA Division III hockey team prior to making his professional debut as a member of the Ice Bears for the 2011-12 season.

"In Sato, the Ice Bears are getting, in my opinion, the best 2-way forward in the league coming off a break-out season last year. Eric can be trusted on the ice in any situation whether we're protecting a lead or chasing a lead and his compete level in all 3 zones will set the tone for this hockey club." said Head Coach Mike Craigen.

During the off season, Satim had the honor of representing his home country Canada in the 2013 Maccabiah Games held in Israel every four years. Team Canada captured gold as they defeated the United States 7-1. Team Canada was coached by three time Stanley Cup Champion and former Montreal Canadian head coach Guy Carbonneau.

"I'm very excited to be heading back to Knoxville for another year. I love the city and the support we get from our fans. I think the team will be very competitive with the core group of players coming back to try and win a championship. I'm looking forward to training camp and getting things started," said Satim.

In part of the off season activities, the Knoxville Ice Bears will be presenting sponsor for the Adopt a Golden Knoxville Charity Golf Classic. The event will be held at Gettysvue Country Club on Monday, August 26, 2013. For more information, visit www.knoxvilleicebears.com.
